If you are referred to us by another doctor, please tell us, so that we can report to him/her promptly.  We do not charge for this service.

   Your medical record is strictly private. We will not give out information regarding your condition to your employer, friends or relatives without your permission.  The only exception is when required by law.  If you want us to release your medical records, we will ask for a written request before we send a copy of our medical records.  This service is free of charge when we refer you to another physician, otherwise a nominal charge may be assessed.

Treat pre-cancerous and cancerous gynecologic conditions.  We also see patients referred with gynecologic disorders or for second opinion.  Dr. Elbendary has a special interest in laparoscopic (minimally invasive) and pelvic reconstructive surgery.

Regular office hours are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday with alternating Friday mornings.  Additional times are available for chemotherapy and urgent cases.  Our receptionist is available Monday through Friday 8:30 to 4:15 p.m. to assist you. 

Patient appointments are of two types: First visit or complete exam, may take up to one hour; treatment or follow-up visit requires 15-30 minutes.

We try our very best to stay on schedule, however, emergencies do sometimes arise, causing delays.  If we are seriously delayed, we will try to notify you beforehand.  Please assist us by being on time for your appointment.  Occasionally, we may call a patient out of turn if they are urgent or critically ill.  We ask your patience if you have to wait.  We know your time is valuable and we hate to keep you waiting!

On your first visit, we will begin a permanent record.  Please bring all of your medications and any relevant x-rays and any medical tests you have had performed.  This will help facilitate the process.  We will also ask you to complete a medical history and registration form, if one has not already been sent to you.  Please bring your insurance card and referral, if one in required by your insurance company.  If this is your first visit please arrive 30 minutes early for your first appointment to complete necessary paper work.  If you have been under the care of another physician, or, if you have had tests performed elsewhere, we may ask your permission to obtain copies of these records.

Please call our office as soon as possible if you are unable to keep your appointment or if you are going to be late.  This courtesy allows us to be of service to other patients.

(Physician Exchange)
The exchange will take your number, locate Dr. Elbendary, and he will return your call usually within 30 minutes.
  
In a true emergency, it is best to go to the emergency room department of the nearest medical facility.  The medical staff will initiate therapy and call Dr. Elbendary.
In the event that Dr. Elbendary is not available the exchange will put you in contact with the physician who is taking his calls.
